Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir 2023 is a 100% Chardonnay from a 0.5-hectare, southeast-facing parcel on the right bank of Chablis. The vineyard’s mostly calcareous clay-limestone marls date to the Kimmeridgian period, and the domaine lists an average vine age of 22 years. Grapes are harvested by hand, selected on a sorting table, pneumatically pressed, and cold settled before fermentation with natural yeasts at about 20°C. The wine spends nine months in one- to five-year-old barrels with no new oak, followed by six months of blending in tank. This Grand Cru is bottled in a 750 mL format at 14.5% ABV / 29 proof.

The domaine characterizes Vaudésir as a dense, fruity Chablis marked by finesse and elegance. Published notes for the 2023 vintage describe tangerine, freshly picked gooseberry, and flinty aromas, followed by red apple, orange rind, and light white tea across a taut, fresh palate.
